Black History Month is the one month of the year nationally recognized to celebrate and honor Black lives, history, and legacy from the past, present, and future. During this time, the Black-led movement ecosystem intentionally honors the legacy of civil rights leaders and their contributions to ensure America is more equitable.

In honor of Black History Month, Black Voters Matter & Movement Labs are partnering to grant 10 Black-led organizations 100,000 free SMS to support their core mission and vision. Plus, we will expand their social media exposure and build a cohort environment to help elevate their groundbreaking work to continue and shift the country to a more equitable place.

How does the grant work?

In honor of Black History Month, Black Voters Matter & Movement Labs are partnering to grant 10 Black-led organizations to support their core mission via SMS and expand their social media exposure.

Get The Word Out

Granting 100,000 texts to help up to 10 Black-led organizations boost their work in building power and driving progressive change in marginalized communities by identifying thousands of new supporters to move to action.

One-on-one consultation with our experts about SMS strategy, best practices, program/data evaluation, SMS & field integration, and much more.

Social media exposure to help uplift selected grantees.

Extra Perks

Participation in the inaugural "Movement Labs Black History Grant" cohort for four months, including free training opportunities for grantees to gain additional transferable skills for their organization.

Who is Movement Labs?

Movement labs was started as an incubator to use SMS/MMS to turn folks out to be a part of the resistance to Trump. We've expanded to working with Movement c3/c4 organizations to do turnout for events, direct service opportunities, elections, and other various types of communication.
